Tamaki Niime Scarves

Since 2006 Tamaki Niime has been making textiles utilizing the traditional Japanese weaving technique called Banshu-ori. Previously dyed yarn is woven on slow vintage looms, washed and dried in the sun, creating a uniquely inviting, soft and feathery feel with no two pieces being exactly the same. All the work is made in Nishiwaki, the "navel of Japan" and center of Banshu-ori practice.
